Held at the ministry's headquarters in the presence of several senior officials, the meeting provided an opportunity to examine several key areas, including risk mapping and the situation at the Aïn Oussara (Djelfa) and Oumache (Biskra) power stations. The meeting also provided an opportunity to inquire about the progress of work on a power plant construction in Niger, which is part of the energy cooperation agreement between Algeria and Niger. Mr Adjal also listened to technical and assessment presentations by the relevant executives, emphasising "the major importance of these issues in terms of strengthening the sector's performance and ensuring the continuity and reliability of the public service provided to citizens," the statement added.
In this context, the minister emphasised the importance of optimal management of energy projects and infrastructure, as well as compliance with completion deadlines and quality standards, to improve the level of public service, support economic development and consolidate the sector's role as an essential lever for achieving national energy security.
In addition, Mr Adjal provided a series of guidelines and instructions aimed at accelerating the pace of project implementation, strengthening coordination between the various stakeholders and ensuring on-the-ground monitoring of the implementation of decisions taken.
