This economic event is part of the implementation of several strategic objectives of the Government. The program aims to create all the conditions for the development, sustainability and competitiveness of the company, and to develop the value chain of the various industrial sectors by promoting national integration, thereby helping to reduce the import bill.
The industrial sector is a promising sector in terms of achieving the objectives of the Government’s strategy, namely the development of priority industrial sectors providing added value, the prioritization of the technological transition, the development of innovation and the knowledge-based economy, the creation of permanent jobs, the promotion of human resources and the improvement of the competitiveness and export capacity of the national economy.
For his part, the president of the Algerian Economic Renewal Council (CREA), Kamel Moula, stressed that the fair “reflects the quality of the national product, the mechanical industry in particular”, noting that several importers had transformed themselves into local producers, thus changing from importer to industrial. This transformation, added the CREA president, can encourage diversification of local production.
In this context, he called on the large companies still importing these products to seek out companies with the necessary industrial and technological capacities that can cover their needs locally instead of using imports. Exhibitors represent a variety of industries, including manufacturing, mechanics, electricity, electronics, metallurgy, and industry-related services. This important event comes at an opportune time as it is in line with the government's guidelines for diversifying our economy, making industry in general and the development of industrial subcontracting in particular the focal point for carrying out the import and export substitution policies needed for, the organizers said, noting 6,000 expected visitors and 300 B to B meetings planned.
