Contracts Signed: Algerian Olive Oil, Fruits, and Vegetables Coming Soon to Europe and China

Algerian olive oil, fruits, and vegetables will soon be available in Europe and China. Export contracts to this effect were signed during the Alimentaria 2026 International Food Fair, the Ministry of Foreign Trade announced in a statement on Thursday.

Two Algerian companies have signed contracts to export olive oil, as well as fruit and vegetables, to the European market, the ministry said, emphasising that the deal “reflects the growing interest in Algerian agricultural products and their competitiveness in foreign markets”.

The same source also reported that a memorandum of understanding had been signed for the export of Algerian olive oil to the Chinese market, “opening up new opportunities for the product to access promising international markets and strengthen its presence in Asian markets”.

It should be noted that the Alimentaria 2026 International Food Fair closed on Thursday. Algeria participated via a pavilion organised by the Ministry of Trade and Export Promotion. This participation also facilitated a series of professional meetings between Algerian operators and their counterparts from various countries.
