Chlef: Over 300 projects registered with the one-stop shop

On Tuesday, Omar Rekkache, Director General of the Algerian Investment Promotion Agency (AAPI), revealed that over 300 investment projects have been registered with the one-stop shop in the wilaya of Chlef since its launch in 2022.

Since November 2022, the one-stop shop in the wilaya of Chlef has registered 303 investment projects, totalling over 60 billion dinars, with the promise of creating over 7,000 direct jobs. During a field visit, AAPI General Manager Mr. Rekkache inaugurated an industrial bakery in Chlef and inspected a future yeast plant in Oum Drou, scheduled for 2026. This strategic project will cover almost all the country's yeast needs, sharply reducing imports estimated at $100 million/year. The plant will create 300 jobs and produce 46,000 tons of yeast/year. Mr. Rekkache stressed the importance of these projects for balanced regional economic development and reaffirmed the State's commitment to productive investment in Chlef.
