Private equity: COSOB strengthens regional capacities through specialized training
As part of its strategy to develop alternative financing, the Commission d'Organisation et de Surveillance des Opérations de Bourse (COSOB) (Stock Exchange Organization and Supervision Commission) launched a regional training course this Saturday in Algiers, focusing on private equity structuring and management techniques.
The Institut Algérien des Hautes Études Financières (IAHEF) (Algerian Institute of Higher Financial Studies) organized a five-day training session entitled "The investment lifecycle: private equity management and structuring techniques". This initiative, which has a regional dimension, is part of the reforms carried out by the COSOB, which currently chairs the Union of Arab Securities Authorities (UASA).
The aim is to enhance the skills of finance professionals and promote private equity as a strategic financing alternative for high-potential companies. The session is particularly based on the new Regulation 24-02 on Fonds de Placement Collectif à Risque (FPCR).
Led by an international expert, the course covers the entire private equity cycle, from opportunity identification to exit strategy, legal structuring, and value creation. It brings together representatives from several regional institutions, including the Sultanate of Oman, Libya, and Algerian public and private players.
This initiative reflects the COSOB's determination to create a financial ecosystem conducive to innovative investment and diversification of the national economy.
