Algiers Stock Exchange: Market capitalisation exceeds DZD 752 billion

Market capitalisation has exceeded 752 billion dinars on the Algiers Stock Exchange, Belkacem Baatouche announced on Monday in Algiers.

Speaking on behalf of the Stock Exchange Management Company (SGBV), Belkacem Baatouche, Director of Operations and Financial Market Development, stated that market capitalisation stood at over 725 billion dinars (DZD) at the end of March. He added that the number of transactions exceeds 6,000 per year. Whilst highlighting the role of the Algiers Stock Exchange in boosting the financial sector and the Algerian economy in general, Baatouche noted that performance indicators are improving, particularly following the listing of the two banks, CPA and BDL.
