The quantity purchased is
estimated between 450 000 tons and 500 000 tons, according to European traders,
quoted by the British agency Reuters, stating that the price is between 354 and
355 dollars per ton (cost and freight included).
The wheat must be
delivered in two periods: from 1 to 15 January and from 16 to 31 January 2023
if it comes from the main supply regions, including Europe. If the goods come
from South America or Australia, they must be delivered in December 2022,
rather than one month.
As to the origin of the
wheat purchased, the same source states that ‘technically, supplies are of optional
origin’, but traders stated that they expected the wheat to come from France,
Germany and the Black Sea region, including Bulgaria and Russia.
