Arkab and Al-Haroun discussed ways to strengthen cooperation between their
parties, according to a statement from the Ministry of Energy, Mines and
Renewable Energy.
Development of Regional Cooperation: The meeting with ministry officials was
attended by Kuwaiti company heads in the OCI insurers and reinsurers meeting in
Algiers. Discussions focused on strengthening cooperation and promoting
investment in Algeria and regional cooperation.
The role of credit insurance: The role of credit insurance in supporting trade,
exports and investment was highlighted. Discussions included supporting current
and future projects through knowledge sharing, partnerships and exploring new
opportunities in risk management and insurance services, particularly in the energy,
mining, renewable energy, and desalination sectors.
Enhancing Algeria's attractiveness: The Minister of Energy presented the main
axes of Algeria's development programme in the energy, mining, and renewable
energy sectors, highlighting the new regulatory framework. The benefits and
incentives of the investment law were explained in detail to boost investor
confidence and Algeria's investment attractiveness.
Strengthening national development: The law reflects President Abdelmadjid
Tebboune's vision for national development, entrepreneurship, and investment to
create wealth and jobs focusing on exploiting Algeria's natural resources in
hydrocarbons, mining, and renewable energy.
DHAMAN, founded in 1974 by a multilateral agreement between several Arab countries, offers guarantee services against commercial and non-commercial risks for inter-Arab investments, raises awareness of investment and export issues, promotes the guaranteed industry and provides services that contribute to improving the investment and business climate in the Arab region.
