Discussions focused on enhancing cooperation in the energy, mining and
renewable energy sectors, in line with the directives of the two countries'

Bilateral agreements and context
The meeting followed a memorandum signed in Cairo in October outlining joint
projects in oil, gas and mining exploration, liquefied petroleum gas marketing
and the establishment of a joint venture for engineering studies in the energy
sector.

Discussions highlighted cooperation involving Algerian companies such as
Sonatrach, Sonelgaz and Sonarim, focusing on:

Mohamed Arkab stressed the
importance of basing these projects on a win-win partnership with solid
economic foundations.

and highlighted the success of Egyptian companies in Algeria, such as
"Petrogist" and "Swedy Cables". The Egyptian ambassador
