Arkab inaugurates the Tébessa phosphate mine

The Minister for Energy and Mines, Mohamed Arkab, inaugurated the Bled El Hadba phosphate mine in the wilaya of Tébessa on Saturday.

In a statement to the press, Minister Arakab stated that the start-up of this mine will increase the country's raw phosphate production capacity to more than 10 million tons per year, of which 06 million tons will be destined for processing and subsequent export: ‘Algeria will occupy a major position on the international market and will be an important mining hub in the world’.

Mr Arkab assured that the start-up of the Bled El Hadba mine will expand and diversify economic and commercial activities at local and national levels, in addition to creating thousands of new jobs (direct and indirect).
