Aoun stresses the need to raise Algerian laboratories to international standards

On Tuesday, Ali Aoun, Minister of Industry and Pharmaceutical Production, inaugurated a laboratory for the Agence Nationale des Produits Pharmaceutiques (ANPP), stressing the importance of raising Algerian laboratories to international standards, which means adopting ISO standards to reach maturity 3, an essential condition for World Health Organization (WHO) accreditation, synonymous with quality and excellence.

The Minister of Health highlighted the opportunities offered by the WHO accreditation of Algerian pharmaceutical products, particularly for export to African and Middle Eastern markets. This achievement resulted from Algeria's cooperation with Germany, supported by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP). The Minister praised the President's commitment to promoting scientific research in Algeria by strengthening links between universities, institutions, and the administration. This new laboratory, equipped with state-of-the-art research and control facilities certified to international standards, exemplifies this ambition and will support advanced research and quality control in the pharmaceutical sector. The Minister concluded by saying that this laboratory will play a key role in the industrial development of the pharmaceutical sector and the health care of the Algerian population.
