Algeria-Portugal: Exploring opportunities for medical cooperation

The Minister of Health, Abdelhak Sayehi, held important talks with his Portuguese counterpart, Ana Paula Mertens, on strengthening bilateral cooperation in the field of health. The talks took place on the sidelines of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

Digitalization of the healthcare sector was one of the main topics discussed, the same source reported, underlining the need to adopt modern technologies to improve medical information management and facilitate access to health data quickly and efficiently, thus guaranteeing improved quality of healthcare services provided to citizens.
