Algeria/Japan: Ziane discusses opportunities for cooperation in renewable energy with JICA representative

Also, the discussions focused on the development of the 15,000 MW renewable energy deployment program by 2030.

Discussions also concerned the draft invitation to tender to domestic and foreign investors for the construction of solar photovoltaic power plants, distributed over the national territory of Algeria.

On the other hand, Mr. Tsujii, accompanied by the JICA project formulation adviser, Usami Satoko, presented the agency's vision for technical assistance and training.

He also presented JICA's experience with decarbonization policy.

Both parties expressed their willingness to strengthen bilateral cooperation through the technical cooperation program, proposed by JICA, for the year 2023.
