Algeria constantly working to attract foreign investment

news-detail

Algeria is seeking to attract investments from countries like Qatar, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and some countries considered strategic allies like Italy and others, said President Tebboune during his periodic meeting with the national press, broadcast on Sunday on national, public and private radio and television channels.

Regarding economic cooperation with Turkey, the President of the Republic recalled that the country was the largest foreign investor in Algeria through numerous projects, such as Oran steel complex, whose production doubled and was oriented towards exports, in addition to other investments in the textile and light and medium industries.

President Tebboune mentioned foreign investors targeted by Algeria, among others, Qataris and Saudis.

Italy remains "a strategic ally" being the first European country in terms of economic relations with Algeria, he argued.

The strengthening of these relations, says the President of the Republic, continues with the launch of the joint production phase, highlighting the ongoing efforts to create Algerian-Italian partnerships in various fields, including mechanics, automotive, shipbuilding, flour mills and the national defense sector, in addition to projects in the field of equipment installation.
