100,000 farms connected to the electricity grid by the end of the year

100,000 farms will be connected to the electricity grid by the end of the year, according to the Minister of Energy and Renewable Energy, Mourad Adjal.

Energy Minister Mourad Adjal announced in Algiers that the national program to connect farms to the electricity grid will enable 100,000 farms to be connected by the end of 2025, since the operation was launched in 2022. During his hearing before the APN Finance Committee on the 2026 finance bill, he also highlighted ongoing efforts to extend energy supply to industrial and business areas throughout the wilayas, while continuing to improve access to electricity and gas for citizens.
