Algeria and Germany are taking a concrete and pragmatic step towards the realization of the joint agreements between the two countries, within the framework of bilateral cooperation. In fact, as part of an Algerian-German cooperation agreement concluded on 25 November 2021 in Algeria, an agreement on a project to develop digital and green entrepreneurship has just been initialled by the Ministry of the Knowledge Economy, start-ups, and the German Foundation for International Cooperation, in the presence of the Ambassador of the Republic of Germany, Elisabeth Volbers. The project in question is, after all, ambitious, since it concerns the realization of a program for the creation of 100 start-ups in the field of digital and green entrepreneurship. Known for their expertise in this field, since they are considered leaders in Europe, the Germans will have to contribute to the emergence of a new breed of start-ups specialized in the digital sector and concerned with ecological and environmental standards. The four-year program aims to create more than 100 start-ups in the field of clean technologies, providing a good opportunity to benefit from the German experience in open innovation, incubation and acceleration, says the press release marking the signing ceremony. On the Algerian side, Noureddine Ouada, director of emerging companies and support structures at the line ministry, signed the agreement with Martina Valos, director of the German Foundation for International Cooperation in Algeria, on the German side. This ceremony comes on the eve of an equally important event, with the prospect of a business trip to Algeria in December of German businessmen skilled in renewable energy. The information that has been disseminated by the Algerian-German Chamber of Industry and Trade, AHK, announces the holding of an event congress entitled: “Integration of renewable energies and Smart Grids” from December 12 to 16, 2022. These are the German companies AMA Technology, Azur Consult UG, BSW-Association of the German Solar Industry, PV Shverstädige e.v., Renewable Academy and Witt Solutions GmbH, which will stay in Algeria during this period and which will start contacts and B2B, outside this event symposium. To do this, the AHK, in collaboration with Renewable Academy, have developed an interesting program, involving Algerian and German officials, including representatives of the Ministry of Ecsm and Environment, as well as the Minister Counselor at the German Embassy in Algeria, including experts and operators from both countries. On the agenda of this promising event, conferences and themes that are as important as they are ambitious.
It will, in fact, be a question of ‘the modernization of the electricity network and the future visions of Sonelgaz’, ‘Sonatrach renewable energy program’, ‘Smart Grids, the future of the electricity network in Algeria’, ‘Shaems solar projects’, ‘the investment framework for projects in Algeria’, ‘the regulatory framework for investments in Algeria’, ‘Algeria’s action plan for the development of renewable energy’, ‘the integration of renewable energy, the potential of the Algerian market’ and others.
