In
a statement to the press, Mr. Rezig said that "seven agreements were
signed, on the occasion of the Algerian production fair opened last Thursday in
Nouakchott, and the Algerian-Mauritanian economic forum organized on Saturday, outside
this event", adding that "the agreements in question were signed for
very large amounts (...) in millions of dollars" between Algerian and
Mauritanian companies.
These
agreements cover different sectors such as "cement, batteries, windows and
doors and food products", according to Mr. Rezig.
Emphasizing
the quality of participation and the diversity of channels (between 20 and 25
activities) at the event, the minister said that "the agreements signed
today represent only a start, as there are ongoing discussions between the two
parties in all sectors".
The
Minister stressed that this fair, which intervenes in application of the
directives of the President of the Republic to access African markets through
the organization of exhibitions of national production, "is very
successful and of great interest on the part of Mauritanians", announcing
that the next Algerian Production Fair will be organized next week in Sudan.
