According to the same source, the shops concerned are gradually changing their commercial identity to adopt the "Yassir Market" brand. This change is accompanied by a transformation project to combine in-store sales and digital services.

The first site affected by this transition is the Bab Ezzouar hypermarket in Algiers. Its reopening under the new identity is scheduled for Ramadan 2026. On this occasion, promotions are expected to be offered for several local and imported products.

Yassir is already expanding its services through an app that combines several digital features. The company says it operates in six countries and more than fifty cities. Its platform has over ten million users and offers services including payments, transport, meal delivery, shopping and parcel delivery, as well as online shopping, mobile top-ups, bill payments and ticket sales.

The platform's ecosystem also involves a large number of partners. According to the company, more than 200,000 individuals and organisations — drivers, delivery personnel, retailers, wholesalers and other players in the sharing economy — derive income from these activities.

With the acquisition of Uno hypermarkets, Yassir plans to combine physical retail with digital tools. The aim is to transform this network into a connected distribution platform, leveraging the technologies the company has used.

The project includes renovating existing stores and improving customer service. The company also plans to expand its network by acquiring other brands and opening convenience stores, either directly operated or franchised.

These future points of sale would complement the logistics infrastructure already used for online sales. The platform's warehouses could also serve as supply centres for merchants on the app as well as for certain professional customers, including embassies and large companies.
