Sonelgaz explores new opportunities with Hungary

On Thursday, Sonelgaz CEO Mourad Adjal received the Hungarian ambassador to Algeria, Gabor Levente Szarka, in Algiers, where he discussed ways and means of cooperation and partnership with Hungarian economic operators, according to a press release from the state-owned group.

Sonelgaz strengthens international partnerships with Hungary

At a meeting at Sonelgaz's head office, CEO Mourad Adjal and the Hungarian Ambassador to Algeria explored opportunities for bilateral cooperation. Adjal highlighted Sonelgaz's expertise in the energy sector, notably in the production, transport and distribution of electricity and gas, as well as in renewable energies, maintenance and training, thanks to its subsidiary SAIEG.

The Hungarian ambassador expressed his country's interest in collaborating in renewable energies and training, describing Sonelgaz as an "important business model". The two parties are considering signing a memorandum of understanding to structure future partnerships.
