Sidi Bel Abbès: Oualid Inspects the “Enrico Mattei” Centre for Agricultural Technologies

As part of his visit to Sidi Bel Abbès on Saturday, Yassine Oualid, Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development, and Fisheries, inspected the “Enrico Mattei” Centre for Agricultural Technologies, according to a statement released by the provincial authorities.

The minister, accompanied by the wali, visited a centre dedicated to agricultural innovation and research, where he learned about its missions focused on supporting the sector’s development.

This project, the result of an Algerian-Italian partnership, aims to become a centre of excellence in innovation, training, and agricultural research, as well as a platform for the exchange of expertise, particularly in modern agriculture, innovative techniques, water resource management, and the development of strategic sectors.

The minister emphasized the strategic importance of this facility, which is expected to strengthen the agricultural sector and play a major role at the national and regional levels.
