Ali Aoun and Mohamed El-Habib Zahana began their visit at the Fornaka industrial zone in the Ain Nouissy district to inspect the compressed concrete pipe factory. After ceasing operations in 2019, this large factory, which produces giant pipes on a national and continental scale and covers an area of 12 hectares, is making a comeback following a strict directive from the President of the Republic.
The factory, which had been abandoned for several years, was transferred to the National Public Works Company (SNTP), which has begun work on-site and has rehired former workers. Initially, 100 employees have been called back, with plans to gradually increase this number to 360. The resumption of this factory's activities, equipped with high-tech machinery, is expected to have significant economic and social impacts for the Mostaganem wilaya and Algeria as a whole, by revitalizing economic activity, creating jobs for the local population, and achieving self-sufficiency in high-quality "Made in Algeria" products.
In the same vein, agreements were signed between the Directorate of Domains and the National Public Works Company, as well as a letter of intent and commitment to operate, supply, and market the factory's products between the CEO of SNTP, the Director General of the Construction Materials Distribution Company, and the Director General of the National Irrigation and Drainage Office.
In the second part of their visit, the ministers proceeded to the "El Bordjia 1 and 2" industrial zones in the commune of El Haciane, where they inspected the development work. These zones are expected to become a future industrial hub for the Mostaganem wilaya. The construction progress in these industrial areas has reached 99%, which will create a favorable environment for investors.
At the end of the visit, the delegation went to the Sayada aerodrome in the commune of Kheireddine. It is noted that the mission of this airbase in the project's first phase is to enhance the capacity of the western wilayas of the country in combating forest fires and providing emergency medical evacuation.
