The report states that Algeria ranks ninth in Africa in hotel development, with 13 projects representing 2,603 rooms currently under development. This position underlines the growing potential of the Algerian market for hotel investors, although further efforts could be made to improve the country's attractiveness in this sector.

Last Thursday, the Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts, Houria Meddahi, announced that 727 tourism projects had been registered by December 31, 2024, 90 of which will be operational this year (2025).
