At a meeting of the Finance and Budget Committee of the
National People's Assembly (NPA) to
discuss the 2023 Finance Bill and chaired by Lakhdar Salmi, President of the NPA,
in the presence of NPA member Nacer Bettiche and Minister of Relations with
Parliament, Basma Azouar, the Minister announced that this was one of the main
strategic objectives outlined for the strengthening of the national industrial
base.
This strategy also aims
at promoting and protecting the national product against the anarchic
importation of the parallel market through the improvement of the
competitiveness of enterprises and the quality of products, as well as the
revitalization and strengthening of the process of "public-private"
and "national-foreign" partnerships for the diversification of the
national industrial base.
It is also about the
implementation and continuation of the development plans of the economic public
enterprises and meeting the conditions for its success, he continued.
Regarding the budget of
the industry sector for the financial year 2023 under the new finance law, Mr.
Zeghdar revealed that Da 4,240 billion had been allocated as an operating
budget, a decrease of 13% compared to 2022.
The capital budget includes DA 10 million (technical
equipment and metrology) for the National Office of Legal Metrology, DA 395.25
million as payment appropriations for the program under implementation for the
main administrative structures and DA 3.15 billion as payment appropriations
for the program under implementation for industrial and industrial areas…
