The Minister also visited the training center, and the ready-to-wear unit. The Director explained to him the site's manufacturing processes. Zeghdar attended a presentation of the industrial cluster, the largest of its kind on the African scale, in relation to its production, as well as its development plan, namely for export, presented by the CEO of the Tarik Ekerbicer Group. The Committee considered that this complex has a definite economic contribution for Algeria and a strong social impact contributing to the creation of employment. He says the plant has a dual objective: to export 60% of the production and to cover the national need. He highlighted Algeria’s strengths, which allow it to place its products on the foreign market. He indicated that the plant exports to Tunisia, the European Union and is developing a market with Egypt and even Turkey. The group’s ambition is to make Relizane an export hub. In this context, the Minister stressed the importance of developing the cotton sector.  He expressed the full will of his department and that of Agriculture to put themselves in this strategic option. He stressed that his department would support all investors wishing to start cotton production, arguing that choice was possible by adopting new techniques, particularly in the field of irrigation.

Zeghdar described the partnership with the Turkish partner as a total success, with the aim of expanding the volume of investment between the two countries to other sectors in line with the orientations of the Presidents of the two countries. For the minister, the textile sector has enormous potential and great prospects for development, announcing the creation of two clusters, leather and textile. The Minister wants to create more jobs to reach 10,000 positions within the plant.  There is also talk of increasing the volume of Turkish investment in Algeria to USD 10 billion.
