Agricultural land in Tindouf: Reservation lifted on the Oued El Maâ and Oued Mehia areas

The National Office for Agricultural Land (ONTA) in Tindouf has announced the lifting of restrictions on the Oued El Maâ and Oued Mehia areas, describing this move as significant due to its direct impact in boosting agricultural investment and strengthening food security in the region.

In this context, the Office invited concerned farmers to contact its services to begin the process of definitively regularising agricultural land, following the lifting of reservations that had been hindering the launch of their agriculture projects for over a year. The director of the National Office of Agricultural Land in Tindouf, engineer El Fakir Mohamed, told APS that this operation is part of the State's approach to organising agricultural land and encouraging productive investment, particularly for the benefit of young people. He specified that 56 farmers have benefited from this regularisation in the Oued El Maâ and Oued Mehia areas. He added that the lifting of all restrictions will enable farmers to start their agricultural activities under appropriate conditions, thereby contributing to the creation of wealth and jobs, as well as to the development of the wilaya's agricultural production capacity. For his part, the president of the Wilaya Chamber of Agriculture, Abderezzak Bougnama, considered this measure a key turning point in the process of regularising agricultural land in Tindouf, welcoming the combined efforts of the local authorities in supporting investors and creating a favourable climate for the implementation of agricultural projects.
