Mobile phone operator Djezzy announced on Sunday, March 1, that it had launched its 5G network in 18 provinces across the country.
"In accordance with the specifications, Djezzy began rolling out its 5G network in the eight provinces initially planned for the first year as soon as the licence was awarded last December. These provinces are: Algiers, Oran, Constantine, Sétif, Skikda, Ouargla, Tlemcen and Blida," , says the public operator.
He added: "In addition to these eight provinces, Djezzy has decided to bring forward the rollout of its 5G network in ten other provinces scheduled for the second year, namely Timimoun, Mostaganem, Tizi-Ouzou, Bejaia, Annaba, Batna, Bordj Bou Arreridj, In Salah, Touggourt and Tindouf, bringing its total coverage to 18 wilayas."
"Djezzy informs its current and future customers that the rollout of the 5G network will continue gradually alongside the gradual expansion of coverage across the country," the same source emphasises.
Djezzy is finally inviting its customers in the 18 wilayas covered "to subscribe to the 5G service and enjoy a very high-speed network, offering performance suited to all digital uses in everyday life," the statement concludes.
