Agri-food: AAPI invites Algerian operators to participate in SIAL Canada 2026

The Agence Algérienne de Promotion de l’Investissement (AAPI) (Algerian Investment Promotion Agency) issued a statement on Monday inviting Algerian economic operators active in the agri-food industry to participate in the International Food Exhibition (SIAL Canada 2026), scheduled for April 29 to May 1 in Montreal, to explore North American market trends and export opportunities for Algerian products.

SIAL Canada is one of the most important international events in the agri-food industry, bringing together more than 1,000 exhibitors from 44 countries and welcoming nearly 21,000 trade visitors (importers, distributors, retail chains, restaurateurs and institutional players), the press release said.

The exhibition covers several areas of activity, including food products, beverages, dairy and fresh produce, distributorship, catering, packaging, transportation and supply chains.

The AAPI emphasised that this event is an opportunity for Algerian companies to strengthen the presence of domestic products in the Canadian and American markets, establish international trade partnerships, and explore North American market trends and export opportunities.

To this end, it has invited interested companies to register via the trade fair official website (www.sialcanada.com) and to contact the commercial department of the Canadian Embassy in Algeria (alger-td@international.gc.ca) for further information.
