Agriculture: Contract for the purchase of 331 combine harvesters and 1,800 tractors

The Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development, and Fisheries, Yacine Oualid, presided over the signing ceremony for an agreement to purchase 331 combine harvesters and 1,800 tractors this Saturday in Sidi Bel Abbès, as part of his visit to the province.

An agreement has been signed between PMAT TRADING and Agrodrive, a subsidiary of the Agrodiv Group, as part of the national strategy to boost agricultural mechanization. This initiative aligns with the government’s efforts to upgrade the sector and improve its performance.

The creation of Agrodrive and a national council dedicated to mechanization aims to ensure equipment maintenance and the availability of spare parts. This initiative is expected to help increase cultivated land area, improve agricultural yields, and encourage farmers to organize into cooperatives, while supporting domestic production of agricultural equipment.
