This meeting, held at the ministry's headquarters in the presence of its executives, a representative of the Ministry of Finance and SFI executives, is part of strengthening external cooperation and Algeria's international partnership expansion, particularly at the continental level. It enabled both parties to examine mechanisms for consolidating the bilateral partnership at the national and international levels, according to the same source.

In his opening address, Mr Adjal emphasised the vital role of energy in supporting economic and social development, highlighting Algeria's expertise, through its companies and national skills, covering the entire energy value chain, from production to transport and distribution, in addition to its capabilities in the electrical, training and engineering industries.

The minister also reiterated the national focus on investment in renewable and clean energy, through the project to produce 15,000 MW by 2035, stating that these indicators "reinforce Algeria's position as a reliable partner in supporting energy development at the continental level".

For his part, Mr Tafara expressed the company's interest in expanding the scope of cooperation and partnership with Algeria in the energy and renewable energy sector, both nationally and internationally.

In this context, the company's CEO proposed a partnership project for developing wind power generation nationwide. He also suggested that, at the international level, African countries could benefit from Algerian expertise to strengthen energy development and connect citizens to the electricity grid.

In the same vein, the minister reaffirmed Algeria's commitment to remaining a strategic partner in increasing electrification rates in Africa, building on achieving its national expertise in this field, while emphasising the need to put this partnership into practice on the ground.

At the end of the meeting, it was agreed to hold technical working sessions bringing together technical and financial experts from both sides to forge a solid and effective partnership, the statement concluded.
