Cooperation: Henni receives Argentina's Under-Secretary for Bilateral and Multilateral Economic Relations

Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Mohamed Abdelhafid Henni, received on Wednesday in Algiers Argentina’s Under-Secretary for Bilateral and Multilateral Economic Relations, Ramiro Ordoqui, with whom he discussed ways to strengthen cooperation and partnership relations between the two countries in the field of agriculture, the ministry said in a statement.

During the meeting, held at the Ministry’s headquarters in the presence of the Argentine Ambassador to Algeria and the Ministry’s officials, the two sides discussed "several subjects of common interest, including technical cooperation and partnership in the fields of plant production, livestock and agricultural research", the same source said. Mr. Henni reviewed Algeria’s achievements in the agricultural sector and the main strategic axes adopted by the government to strengthen food security and increase production, including strategic crops such as cereals, milk, vegetable oils, red meat, fodder crops and Saharan agriculture, with the objective of promoting investment.

On the other hand, Mr. Ordoqui expressed his country’s willpower to "strengthen bilateral cooperation and partnership in all areas of common interest and to promote trade between the two countries".
