He also recalled the launch by Sonelgaz of national campaigns on electricity rationalization and gas consumption, specifying in this context that approximately 90% of electricity production is generated by gas, hence the importance, he added, of preserving and reducing gas consumption in particular.
For his part, the director of the Constantine distribution company, Mr. Larbi Boukhatam, pointed out that his department covers four districts of the Constantine province, namely Ibn Ziad, Hamma Bouziane, Zighoud Youcef, and Constantine, noted that the electricity penetration rate is around 100% with a connection rate of over 99.5%, while gas connections have been made throughout the province, except for he added, some remote areas that are supplied from propane gas stations.
