A $480 million partnership for GISB ELECTRIC and SOGELUX

The Algerian industrial group GISB ELECTRIC, based in Mostaganem and headed by its Chairman and CEO, Mr. Djilani Kobibi Bachir, has formalized a major industrial and commercial partnership with SOGELUX, established for over thirty years in Côte d'Ivoire and Senegal.

A strategic alliance worth $480 million over three years has been formed between GISB ELECTRIC and SOGELUX to develop the manufacture, distribution, and trade of electrical equipment for ECOWAS countries. This partnership will enable GISB ELECTRIC to expand its presence in more than 14 African countries, with Senegal as its key anchor point. Supported by FESELEC, this initiative is part of a drive towards economic diversification, industrialization, and energy sovereignty. It aims to build an energy-integrated and technologically competitive Africa, focusing on technology transfer, South-South cooperation, and local value creation.
